WAN - Wide Area Network is a network that covers a distance over different properties and requires the use of an ISP (Internet Service Provider) due to government regulation.
WEP - Wired Equivalency Protocol - a security standard used in the first iteration of wireless networking that is now not safe anymore and can be hacked easily.
802.11 a/b/g/n - 802.11n is the most recent and fastest bandwidth available in the wireless spectrum. It is the new wireless standard and allows four spatial streams due to MIMO and bandwidth ranges between 54Mbps and 600Mbps and is backward compatible with 802.11g so it can operate in 2.4GHz and 5GHz.
WPA - Wi-Fi or Wireless Protected Access is the second iteration of security for wireless replacing WEP. It uses better encryption and is now almost obsolete compared to WPA2-PSK.
File System - a way to organize data in an efficient manner and is tuned to the specific characteristics of the device.
Element - An HTML element is everything from the start tag to the end tag i.e. <p> <br /> so on
Well-Formed - in web design, well formed refers to elements in HTML that are opened and subsequently closed and all elements are properly nested and the document follows all of the syntactic rules in regards to validation.
Transitional - type of doctype variation used in HTML 4.01 that allows for easier transitioning of documents to HTML 4.01. Use with standard HTML or CSS; allows deprecated HTML elements.
Frameset - Use if your document uses HTML frames.
